Great Swamp Walkway

This was shot in the Great Swamp on the same day as this shot. The Great Swamp is just that, a swamp, so they built walkways that wind their way through the park so that people can explore many varieties of flora and fauna that abound there. It really is a beautiful and peaceful place.

I agree - the Great Swamp is a really great place. I've only been there a few times, but I hope to go more often once it gets to be a bit warmer. :)
& I really like the softfocus effect on this image.

It does look beautiful and peaceful. I especially like the dapples of sunlight coming through the trees.

Nice dashes of sun and shadows. The composition of the walkway draws the eye.

Definitely similar to Sinems shot but different, this shot has it's own charm and I feel the fact it is a monochrome shot gives it even more character. One wonders what is around the bend.

Great choice to use B&W for this shot and I think the vertical framing works well to emphasize the trees. It's a lovely view.

I love the lighting in this. The soft edges give it a warm feeling, even though it's in b&w. It looks like a nice place to go camping.

PS-thanks for all of your emails over the past few months. They were a big help, especially during the tough times.

If I compare this photo with the other one you posted of the Great Swamps it is interesting to see how these photographs can show two different worlds of the same place. Looks like a great place to hike!

a great idea to build a walkway and leave the rest of the place undisturbed. fascinating to contrast and compare the two different photos and their treatment - both excellent in different ways.

Sounds like a great place to come back to again and again. Those are always good to have. I like the sunlight at the end of the walkway, beckoning us on.

That looks just like the walkway through the Congaree Swap in South Carolina. Maybe I need to revisit, now that the mosquitoes are hibernating. Last time I was there I didn't see any animal life.

I love the sun dapples on the railings.
