Rebuilding

I found this building on a drive last weekend. I had parked behind it so I could take some pictures of an old abandoned mill on the opposite side of the street. It didn't look like much when I first looked at it. It was a mostly overcast afternoon with peaks of sun from time to time. When I returned to my car to leave, I noticed the late afternoon sun hitting the side of the building and the shadows really caught my eye. It looked as though repairs had been started on the building and then perhaps abandoned.

I am still trying to get my archives up and running again. Despite trying all sorts of different fixes, I still have no idea what is going on with them and Blogger has yet to respond to my numerous requests for help. I am among a number of other Bloggers who have been suffering through this issue for several weeks and some for several months now. In the meantime it is what it is, and I am sorry for any inconvenience it may cause. To view earlier work you can still click on the current photo and it will take you to the previous one.

I like the colors as sun hit the walls ... and the differening textures here.

I guess this blogger business is a love hate relationship. Wish I was techno savy. When things break down or mess up, I'm stuck. Okay, enough.
I like this shot and the way the sun highlights the brick. Great unexpected photo.

The light really brings out the texture of this wall and the shadows on the plywood in the window opening are great.

Afternoon sun, makes a nice contrast on the texture of green stone bricks, small shadows. Big shadow of side edge, just cutting the wood-blocked window in half, brings them more in life, makes one reach and feel the texture. Window is just at sweet spot, and at the top and bottom of the photograph, the slight shadow falling at an angle additionally emphasizes the afternoon sun. Quite a nice and delicate photograph. :-)
