Revisiting the Great Swamp
I've spent a lot of time this week revisiting the archives; tossing some and selecting some that I like for posting and or printing. I have so many photos and I never looked that closely at a lot of them. I think what would happen is one or two out of twenty really grab my attention and make the others seem less worthy. This was one of those shots. It was taken at the great swamp the same day as this and this.I'll be rather busy the next few days I've got a lot of projects to finish before going to see Rob next week, so I may not get around to visit as much, but I will try.

Beautiful sky. I like the way the clouds frame the picture. Next week will be such a special time for you. I'll look forward to hearing all about it.
i think that it's always the way: we didn't much like the stuff we took in belize, but when we started to look at them with a view to posting them we started noticing things we liked previously hidden.

yup, i found some of my best stuff hidden away in the archives...its a really lovely scene but the tones of the swamp itself are a bit too dark...

Excellent landscape and I like the color. The bottom portion seems a like it could have been just a tad lighter. Cloud formation is really nice and I like the look of the swamp.

I know exactly what you mean. I have been sifting through my older fall photos from the north and have found a few nice one I at first overlooked.

Culling archives... arghhh. I have about 8,000 California images not to mention all my other stuff. I started going through them last night. It's like amputating fingers!

I am amazed to see colors of red in this photograph. That took my attention. Would love to go closer and see those trees. Nice landscape view on a beautiful day, with reflections in the middle.
--How do you organize your photograph archive? Any good software for it?
Laurie, I'm glad you took the time to dig through your archives. This is a keeper! The colors are amazing.
