Tent Lights

It's been a very busy time around here. As I mentioned on my other blog; I got my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer. It finally became available and was delivered on Monday. It's definitely a lot different getting photos ready to be printed than it is to put them on the web. I am learning quickly how to configure everything and how to manage the color for printing. I've done several large jobs already and I'm pleased with the results for most of them. I have some large prints done and ready for framing which will be my next challenge.

I am still working even though it's almost 11 pm, but I thought it might be a good idea to post up a photo so you guys don't forget about me. I'm sorry I haven't been around as much the past few days but I will get around to visiting tomorrow...I hope.

This is from the archives. It is the sophisticated lighting system that they used in a dining tent at a great little country fair that we went to last summer...Oh how I wish it was summer again. We are in the throws of an Arctic Blast and it's taking its toll...BRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Very nice. The curvy lines contrast well with rigid lines of the tent and post. Cool shot.

Congrats on the printer! I've printed very few of my images, unfortunately. I have a perfectly good printer, but I need to buy some more ink and some good paper. Color management is kind of an art unto itself. Adjusting your printer to look like your monitor, making sure that you have a good color profile, and all that goes with printing.

Fun stuff. You should probably get something like to do your monitor calibration. You probably know that, but here's an article about it.

A nice memory of summer; we need more of them. Don't hear too many pundits talking about global warming the past few weeks; they're probably all in the Caymans at a convention!

Tones on the wire and the tent is good, and bright wireframes of the bulbs look solid and nice. I notice the tent line and the bulb-wire makes an X on the frame, both with the help of the pole. Good composition and exposure. nice shot ;-)

Nice and simple, beautifully composed shot. Congates on the 3800, I really like my 2400 - good luck with the framing.
