Abandoned Canoe

This was shot last fall near New Hope Pennsylvania and quite frankly I forgot I even had it. It was one I had meant to post way back when I took it. I think this canoe had fallen victim to one of the many floods suffered by the area in recent years. It was petty banged up.

Yes, it definately looks like it has suffered. The black and white treatment really enhances it. Glad you decided to post it.

Took me a minute to really absorb this one, but wow, what a great shot. The water is so peaceful and the reflection is super sweet. A perfect shot for B&W.

Très belle photo (cadrage, saturation, sujet) comme une interrogation philosophique existentielle sur la condition humaine et le saccage de l'environnement naturel.

I love the boat's reflection on the water, between the leaves, the b&w is always nice

The reflection makes a great pattern. You are good at B-&-W photos. the tones are excellent here!

Laurie, I answered your query on whether Chicagoans are accepting Macy's in place of Marshall Fields ... in my post ... and the answer is yes . Not enthusiastically, but it's gaining acceptance and Macy's is going out of way to carry on Field's traditons.

I have several photos of this same Canoe that I've never processed! I need to find them and put one up soon...The canal there is my favorite place in the whole world. I took Genevieve there on our first date, and we went back last year for our anniversary. There is something very serene and beautiful about the area, especially at night under the lights.

Hey Laurie, thanks for the encouraging words on my blog yesterday. I actually read them (I hadn't checked my blog in about 5 months). I'll be popping by your blog from time to time, but I may not comment much. I'm finding myself at a loss for words these days. Peace out.

Well, my very first time here and I am not disappointed at all. I am stuck, more or less, to my tiny city and even tinier backyard so that is what I have to show the world. Things as small as a tiny red ant beside a monstrous house fly. I like this photograph and it reminds me of our Wolf Creek that flows, sometimes, like a raging river in flood stage and at other times it is stagnant and the things people toss in for some reason, just spoils what could be beautiful.
