Ain't No Sun up in the Sky...Stormy Weather...

This is a shot from last Monday. It was another cloudy nasty day but the atmosphere was awesome for photos like this one. We were in such a dreary weather pattern for the last week. It was pretty cool too with temps in the 60's for a high. The sun came out for a little while yesterday for the first time in a week, but it was short lived. It was still really overcast but it did become quite hot and sticky. Today was just plain gross. Hot humid and still overcast for the most part. I really hope the pattern improves because school starts soon and I would like to go to the beach with the kids before they go back.

I LOVE this image!! It is absolutely gorgeous. The dark ominous sky coupled with the overturned, wooden boat imparts a certain mood...not sure what it is...turmoil, maybe? I can just envision the storm in the background tossing this dory ashore onto the beach. Wonderful, wonderful shot. Very well done, Laurie.
