East Point Revisited
previous / nextThis is a shot from the archives that I found when I was doing some housekeeping on my computer. It was shot at the same time I shot the East Point Lighthouse series last June. Its a really beautiful place and I met this gentleman in the early dawn hours of what was a pretty overcast morning when I was there shooting. He said he comes there every morning with his coffee and his dog saying that there was really no better way to start the day. I can see why. I would love to be able to start each day in such a peaceful and tranquil spot, but this place is about a 2 1/2-3 hour drive from me.
It was a pretty busy weekend. I didn't do much shooting for the blogs. I did shoot a concert and might be able to post some of those. I did post one from a concert last week on Parallel Universe which can be seen here if you are interested.

Definitely looks peaceful!
A beautiful capture!
Looks great. I love the beach.
gorgeous sky...looks far better than the grey stuff outside my window every morning...
The clouds are making the water look dreary, but I bet it was great.
I love the sky - a mixture of soothing and turbulent.
Hi Laurie
Thanks for your comments on my photoblog!
A very nice composition and i mainly like the dramatic sky, congrats
Nice composition. The sky is beautiful and adds to the image. Nice job.
Love this moody , peaceful beach shot. There is a lot of emotion in this shot.
The joys of housekeeping :-) It looks like the sort of place where the troubles of the day melt away.
Wow, am I ready for a trip to the beach. What a beautiful ocean and wonderful capture.
yes, it's a wonderful place to start each day...
Hello,Laurie!:)
Such a cool image it is!
The tree on the right seems to talk something to the man sitting on the rock!!
looks like a beautiful and peaceful place indeed. very well captured, laurie.
Laurie, this would make a great backyard.
I once met an elderly man on the coast whose blood pressure elevated. Rather than put him on meds, his doctor advised him to spend an hour at the beach every day. He did it for three months and his blood pressure dropped thirty points.
Beautiful composition, color and sky. The man adds just the right touch.
Great Sky!
