Pine Under Glass

previous / next

I've been so busy I haven't been able to catch up like I wanted to. Lots going on and some of it is very exciting, some of it is tedious, and some of it is stressful, or a combination of all of the above...but more on that later.

This is yet another one from the ice storm. The ice storm is a distant memory due to the 50-60 degree temps we've had the last couple of days. I've been trapped in the house though unable to get out and enjoy it or take photos. Well maybe tomorrow. In the meantime I was perusing some of the archives and I found a few that I've overlooked in the past and may post in the future...we'll see.

Beautiful, nice separation from the background and the lighting on the ice is superb.

love the pic, can understand the frustration at being stuck in the house, hope you get to take some more pics soon, and that it warms up too...

I really like the backlighting and ice dropletts on the needles. They are almost like Christmas decorations.
Nothing wrong with archives...everyday just isn't a photo day. Life happens. Anxious to here what's in the works for you. Hang in there...

Beautiful detail... I like how everything looks like it is outlined in shades of white and gray.

WOW.
Of all the icy possibilities, this is a standout.
I'd also like to see it in sepiatone.

Nice winter work, Laurie!

I just love frost especially when it covers plants and trees, I'm really longing for winter here in Denmark, our winter is just grey and wet! :-(
