Abandoned Mill Near Princeton

previous / next

This is from a couple of weeks ago. It was taken on a chilly winter morning near Princeton. It was really cccold that day and I was having a hard time finding inspiration and motivation to shoot.

I've been really distracted lately with lots of stuff going on around here. It's been difficult to focus on photography lately and to find the time to get around to visiting all my photoblog friends. I must apologize. I keep thinking I will get caught up but it just isn't happening right now.

You may have not felt inspired, but inspiration found you. Very nice photo! I'm glad you are finding time to take and post photos amidst your busyness.

Such a beautiful structure and body of water. You've captured it well. It looks like a wonderful place. Too bad somebody hasn't restored the old mill for another purpose.

Such a beautiful winter morning picture. Like everything about it, the sky, water, scenery. Great shot.

Well, Laurie, it's beautiful in spite of your lack of inspiration. I can certainly understand. You've got one on the way to college.

I remember how busy that time was. Now, I have another in 10th grade who's getting all of these college introductory letters because of his scores on the PSAT. I hope that he does as well or better on the SAT. Things are about to get busier!

Good luck with all of the college visits and selections.

Certainly glad to see you still cranking out some good stuff!

And, ... I know how you feel about finding time to visit other blogs.
Hard to do while life has you trying to take control of other things.

Take it easy Laurie,

Its funny that at this time of year you would think things would be quieter with more free time but it seems that we all get busier than ever in the winter.

have you tried cropping the bottom part out though?

i love the texture of the sky,the colour of the wall looks great too,i can never get such a tone,is it that way while shooting or did you process it in a different way or something?
