Jersey City Pigeon

previous / next

Of course no city would be complete without at least one pigeon. Funny thing is I don't remember seeing any others. Maybe they were at the concert I mentioned over in Liberty State Park.

News:

This photo of the Bucknell Quad is a 2 page feature photo in the Summer 2008 issue of Bucknell Magazine.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos on "Parallel Universe" as I do here. It has become too complicated to maintain two different photoblogs on a regular basis. Feel free to visit "Parallel Universe" and look through the portfolio/archives since there are quite a few photos there that were never posted here. I will continue to post on both since each one gets different viewers.

Check out my other Photoblog portfolio/archives:

Yeah, they were probably over there 'painting' the statues! They're good at that kind of thing!

I love urban photos and cityscapes. You bring a very nice connection between east and west coast. Because I reside in the west, I can relate to your photos. Really like this one too with the pigeon!

Love the angle and perspective of this shot. Great lines and patterns and the bird adds to an already great composition.

I love the decided composition including the black square in the upper right. It just "looks right" and matches well the tail feathers of the dove.

The shot is very good on its own without the pigeon. The pigeon makes this shot awesome!

What could a pigeon do to be different from others?
What could a pigeon do to become famous?

The low vantage point and especially that the only real color is in its eye and feet makes this a really great, image. I don't think I've ever notices a pigeon's eye until now. Nice!
