Beach Palette

previous / next

...or is it beached pallet? I shot this one at the North end of Sandy Hook. I saw this odd thing from quite a distance and thought it was a crate of some sort when I first saw it. I had to go investigate and found this pallet randomly stuck in the sand. I'm not sure how or why it was stuck in the sand like that.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos on "Parallel Universe" as I do here. It has become too complicated to maintain two different photoblogs on a regular basis. Feel free to visit "Parallel Universe" and look through the portfolio/archives since there are quite a few photos there that were never posted here. I will continue to post on both since each one gets different viewers. I have also changed the title of Parallel Universe to Capture This Photography 2.

Check out my other Photoblog portfolio/archives:

Great shot Laurie, thought it was pier pilings or something, not a pallet. Like the shoreline and the mirror like reflections in the water. Excellent tones and like the high horizon.

I just did something on these wooden pallets on one of my blogs. These things really ARE everywhere! What a crazy place to find one. It made for quite a nice shot, though. It feels like it somehow belongs. Lovely.

You know what I love about this one Laurie.... you have given a presence to this inanimate object and brought out the beauty of its structure via your beautiful composition. I love the color tones too!

Wonderful composition. It really makes you stop and think. Perhaps it appeared there to give someone a focus, so they could calm their mind and find peace.

Very strange structure indeed to find on the beach! I really like the tones of the wood on it in this shot!
