This is another shot of the funky bar, nightclub, Sand Bar USA, in the previous shot. It is such an odd place. There are a number of these couches sort of randomly placed around. I'm sure the place attracts a young crowd. There were only a few people there when we stopped in but I really get the sense that the place is a popular energetic night spot.

I want to take a moment to say thanks to the people who sent me supportive emails and messages. It means a lot to me.
I have taken my VFXY account out of hibernation and re-activated it.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos on "Parallel Universe" as I do here. It has become too complicated to maintain two different photoblogs on a regular basis. Feel free to visit "Parallel Universe" and look through the portfolio/archives since there are quite a few photos there that were never posted here. I will continue to post on both since each one gets different viewers.

Its a good thing they have signs that say they are open. It doesn't look like there is any business going on there. You are right, its funky...
ATM and Restroom off to the right... not the same place I hope, just same direction...
I was absent for many time, but now for me is better, I am back!
You have a wonderful series of pictures!regards

Wow it looks like it is all boarded up yet the couches look new. Amazing clouds in this shot as well!
Very interesting looking bar. I bet it does look quite a bit different at night.
seems almost a model. a toy.
I like the volumes of prefabricated.
Interesting game with the arrows. A nicely done image as your habits!
the curved walls from the fish eye really add to that funky feeling. almost surreal.
Great capture, very unusual mix of furniture and architecture.
Wow - is that different! Loos abandoned, but the two couches look new. Fisheye again? It's really lovely and a great composition. (Love that there is no litter!)
What a cool fresh image!
beautiful shot laurie
i particularly like the couches
not sure i'd hang out there at night tho ;)
nice to know you're back on vfxy
now hurry along to my vfxy and start favoriting or else i'll start my own smear campaign lol!
I find that I'm liking these funky fish-eyed view of things! :-)
I wonder of fish have human-eye view lenses. Hmmmm?! ;-)
From this day shot, the place looks abandoned, or closed for the season, but, like you said, maybe it's a night-owl's hangout. :) Love the skyline.
Looks like an excellent place to have a few drinks. ;)
