The Harbor

previous / next

Would you believe this is Jersey City? It looks like a southern coastal city to me. Until you look closely at those plastic palm trees that are in the funky outdoor bar on the left called "Sand Bar USA". More on that in the next post or two.

What a beautiful day that was. It was one of those days you wish you could put in a bottle and take out whenever you feel like it.

News:

This photo of the Bucknell Quad is a 2 page feature photo in the Summer 2008 issue of Bucknell Magazine.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos on "Parallel Universe" as I do here. It has become too complicated to maintain two different photoblogs on a regular basis. Feel free to visit "Parallel Universe" and look through the portfolio/archives since there are quite a few photos there that were never posted here. I will continue to post on both since each one gets different viewers.

Check out my other Photoblog portfolio/archives:

This is a gorgeous image and that day looked picture perfect. I love those white, puffy clouds and that blue sky. It looks like a great place to sit down, have some lunch, and take in the view. I've really been enjoying your Jersey City series.

As the image opened, I said 'I can't believe that's Jersey City!' and then you said it in your notes. I really have to give you credit. Jersey City is by no means a horrible place, but you're right about this looking like somewhere else. This is a beautiful image with a lot going on and nothing going on at the same time. It feels dynamic and peaceful at once.
Your images do this a lot.

my connection is not yet perfect but within a week, i should be more frequent with visiting other blogs

i like to believe i'm competitive with my photos and blogging but your vfxy story seems a rather sad one.

just forget the petty politics and keep doing what you do best

another stunner...but it was unfair of you to tell me that the palm tree is plastic, ignorance is bliss see...

p.s. it seems to me that the vfxy should contact this sherri person. i too had a different issue with vfxy once and it took forever to resolve)...
