This is the second shot of the same geese from the previous post. I was running toward them trying to get them to fly so I could get a shot of them in flight. As you can see I failed to get them to fly.

That shallow DoF works great here. This is the only reason why I do consider going full frame, and if Sony would come out with a D700 equivalent I would be game. The only FF they have now, the A900, has 24 MPix and that is just too much bits to shuffle around for my purposes.
Its a beautiful photo and love the sheer numbers of geese in the shot.Good thing you did not make them mad and have then turn around and come after you.

Well, The city-geese are much braver than the wild ones :) But they're willing to pose in a beautiful composition! Very tranquil scene.

They still gave you a fine shot of them heading for the water. Nice action image!
Laurie, I like so much all these geese! They are so lovely and funny...
Nice! I like the group of geese in the foreground.
I'm wondering if Goose-Stepping 3 will find you wet?

Sometimes geese just want to swim it seems
The best laid plans and all that. You got a terrific picture anyway. I like their marching towards the lake. Good stuff as always Laurie.
But it has a lot....
Very nice photo.
beautiful tones though. perhaps this is better than one of them flying.
Wish I was there to get the photo of you chasing after them :)
probably not in the mood.. at least it wasn't the other way around where they had to run after you.. ;) still a cool shot.. :)
They look rather relaxed and not planning to fly one meter at all....lovely shot.
It's like High School for geese. Hanging out in cliques!
