Goose Stepping Geese
previous / nextThis was shot at the little park near my house last Tuesday afternoon. There were a lot of geese there as usual for this time of year. I was trying to catch them in flight so I tried to run toward them with my camera ready in an effort to get them to take flight, but they would have none of it and just casually walked toward the water. For all my effort this is what I got in addition to getting my boots a bit muddy and full of goose stuff for my effort.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos on "Parallel Universe" as I do here. It has become too complicated to maintain two different photoblogs on a regular basis. Feel free to visit "Parallel Universe" and look through the portfolio/archives since there are quite a few photos there that were never posted here. I will continue to post on both since each one gets different viewers. I have also changed the title of Parallel Universe to Capture This Photography 2.

Ha looks like these geese wont be chased off easily! Still I like this shot its like they are taking their sweet time walking to the water.
I thought the story would end as it did... you with 'muddy' boots. Should be called Goose Stepping Photographer, no? Nice shot. I like how the shot of the geese continues into the water. Really nice effort for such a dirty and thankless shoot!
