Dunes Behind the Gun Batteries

previous / next

These were the trails to the beach that are behind the gun batteries in the previous posts. It was a warm Feb. 1 so we took a nice walk on the trails through the dunes on the beach.

I've been super busy the last week with work and building a new product studio for doing product photography. It is fun and exciting to see it taking shape but it is also a lot of work. I am doing this while at the same time working on some product shoots so everything is a bit topsy-turvy at the moment. I miss getting around to see everyone but just cannot manage the time and by evening I am completely spent. The good news is that the new space is just about functional although I still have to re-paint and install some new shelving...all in due time. For now I just need to get it functional so I can get the work out.

I agree with the previous comments. Its a very good shot and very good in B&W. There is so much light and contrast - and still a lot of detail.

As always, a meandering path makes a great image. This is no exception. The photo is really nice. There is a place like this at Barnegat Light that I always loved. Fantastic. And loving seeing more that I missed here.

Like other commentors I like the way my eye travels.
How exciting to have your own studio. It will help your work so much...not that you need help....but it gives you a place to do your work. Now that I have back-peddled all over the place I think I will quit...

Wonderful soft tones and light. The B&W suits the scene.

Good luck on the studio

The first time I came across dunes like this was when I lived in New Zealand. I had always thought there was water and beach!

This is a great composition - showing the wild growth on the dunes. Processing is wonderful too1

Good luck on your new studio.
