I know It Is Not a Ginger Flower

...and I don't think there is any lemon in it. I just thought they looked pretty together.

My son Russell is learning how to use one of my old DSLR's, my Olympus E300. This is a shot he snuck of me on Saturday when we went out shooting together down at the Jersey Shore. It was such a gorgeous day! At one point we shed our sweaters for short sleeves, even on the beach it was around 72°. He took it, I edited it n Lightroom...no crop. The kid (eh-hem 18 years old) has a pretty good eye for composition. I liked the photo enough that (although I have a few "winter pounds" to shed from the looks of it) I put it as my new profile pic on my "about me" page because it is pretty much how I look when I go out shooting.

Laurie, I love the image that your son took of you! It is fun to actually see you "out in the field". What a magical place too with those long weeds (reeds) highlighted by the light.

Another great photo. Is that in your light tent? That's quite a lens you're sporting in that shot btw.

Well, there ought to be lemon in it, then since it look so good. About the flower not being ginger, well...it looks pretty, too...better than ginger root would. :) Ginger flower could look pretty good though. As to the photo work, this is so different than what I usually do that I am in awe of your studio technique.

I would say, get rid of the lemon, it doesn't seem to fit here in me eyes! It's the wrong color.
