wonderful rhythms, lines and dark/bright distribution here. I love the fine structures combined with a certain "glow".
Perfect processing for a fine scenery!

This is a lovely monochrome image. The gentle tans bring out the mood of the sand, and the rich range from white to dark make the composition sparkle.

The toning and the birds in the distant sky are what make this a classic! Timeless!

Exceptional image in almost every way - the range of tones and textures, leading lines for a strong composition and the tiny birds in the sky that complete the sense of peace. Would make a very nice print.

An excellent shot. Your processing has given the grasses a light appearance that is very attractive as a setting for the fence. Nice one.

Hé Laurie!

That's a very nice landscape. It looks like the island Ameland...!!
That sheep saw me..., indeed! But I saw that sheep and I stopped the car..., if you look at the photo you see a very great red bloody ball between her two leggs...! May be it is her stomic, but it is not good for this sheep...! So I warned the farmer and he called a veterinary surgeon. That about the sheep, Laurie!

It is Spring, at this moment, here in FRIESLAND! Super!

greeting,

NANNE from FRIESLAND

@ Nanne...Thanks for the info concerning the sheep. I had thought the sheep was giving birth and had not realized something was terribly wrong. I do hope the sheep is ok.

That's been a while Laurie! Beautiful photo, I feel that the duotone coloring and vignetting give a nice feeling to it. Take care, Fokke

i must ask :) what kind of treatment did you give this?

6:46 PM, March 31, 2009
Anonymous Laurie said...

@ankush Thanks...I adjusted the tones in Lightroom to get this sepia look. It was a lot of playing around with curves and color balance then greyscale. Then I brought it into Photoshop and applied a very very slight Orton effect.
