It Started Snowing Petals!

previous / next

Saturday was spectacular. It was a balmy 72° and just the perfect Spring Day to get everyone outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. We went exploring for the day and our first stop was a path along the D&R Canal in Princeton. As we walked in the balmy sunshine taking in all the glory of the day it started snowing...PETALS!

Love this scene, the way the path leads the eye into the image, and the way it seems to snow ;-) gives this so much atmosphere! Really nice work!

Almost like a fairy tale - snowing petals!!
Suppose more like a nightmare for all those suffering from allergies but on a photo even they can admire and enjoy it!
Great composition, the road, the lonely biker, the sun and shadows - great work!

What a wonderful shot, Laurie. I've seen this phenomenon a number of times, but always, it seems, when I'm driving and therefore don't have a picture of it. Absolutely beautiful!

That's really a kind of extreme fast spring this year - out of the snow and into immediate blossoming everywhere.

Great colors in this image, the soft rose and the vivid green - that's really springtime

Jerry Baker would have just added some Head and Shoulders to His soap spray mix and took care of that tree dandruff problem. :) Cool shot!

Love it!! It's wonderful that you could capture this, so beautiful. I can feel it, smell it. It feels like spring :) (BTW, all my 3 year old saw was the bike...funny how that was the important part for him)
