It Started Snowing Petals!
previous / nextSaturday was spectacular. It was a balmy 72° and just the perfect Spring Day to get everyone outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. We went exploring for the day and our first stop was a path along the D&R Canal in Princeton. As we walked in the balmy sunshine taking in all the glory of the day it started snowing...PETALS!

what a beautiful image!
i like the dof and that rider in the background
Love this scene, the way the path leads the eye into the image, and the way it seems to snow ;-) gives this so much atmosphere! Really nice work!
Oh, yes! This is a very mystical scene...
This is excellent Laurie! I love all this soft pink, and this snow of petals... Lovely!
Almost like a fairy tale - snowing petals!!
Suppose more like a nightmare for all those suffering from allergies but on a photo even they can admire and enjoy it!
Great composition, the road, the lonely biker, the sun and shadows - great work!
wow, it looks so magical!
Beautiful!
I can appreciate the day and being there through the photo. That is the kind of snow we need in April!
a very nice spring capture! some trees are blooming, some not even green! we got a very sudden spring - could say summer - here in Hungary also..

an amazing view!!
Don't you just love that kind of snowfall? Its so pretty.
I remember my cousin-phototelegrapher- used to post many pictures from the D&R Canal. Its such a lovely place.
What a wonderful shot, Laurie. I've seen this phenomenon a number of times, but always, it seems, when I'm driving and therefore don't have a picture of it. Absolutely beautiful!
Wow its like a dream or a fairytale! Beautiful shot!
That's really a kind of extreme fast spring this year - out of the snow and into immediate blossoming everywhere.
Great colors in this image, the soft rose and the vivid green - that's really springtime
Jerry Baker would have just added some Head and Shoulders to His soap spray mix and took care of that tree dandruff problem. :) Cool shot!
How gorgeous :) .. I think I've missed spring this year...
Isn't Spring great? Everything rejuvenates, including us. Cool capture.
All the pretty pink petals add a dreamy feel to this scene :)
Beautifully captured!
i've noticed this phenomenon outside my home as well but my attempts to capture it haven't been nearly as successful as yours...
does look exactly like snow as they drift down. so nice to see this.
awesome shot! wow i have never seen such a perfect of raining petals before, very nicely done!
Really a lovely scene!
This is just all kinds of awesome. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
GREAT shot! Capturing the petals really makes this one have an old-time feel. It's really lovely Laurie!
I bet it left a lovely smell in the air.
We can see the falling petals. Beautiful picture
Wow, you even captured the falling petals. Lovely!
Love it!! It's wonderful that you could capture this, so beautiful. I can feel it, smell it. It feels like spring :) (BTW, all my 3 year old saw was the bike...funny how that was the important part for him)
What a great image. Spring portrayed in a unique way.
Very nice dreamy effect in this image! THe biker is a nice extra and "snow" in spring is really something special :)
