Fighting Fowl
For some reason this red winged blackbird was not at all happy with this goose and kept dive bombing it.
This was shot with the same lens set up and at the same time and place as the previous post.

To Mark and all the Dad's out there I hope you had a very nice Father's Day on Sunday.
I want to take a moment to express my sympathies for the people of Iran during such turbulent times. I hope and pray that they have their voices heard and that the terrible violence against them is ended. I am including some links in this post at the request of a fellow photoblogger.

Check out my new slideshow page. The link is here and at the top and bottom of every page. I am testing out several formats for the slideshows each with their own advantages and disadvantages. It will be an evolving process and I will add new ones from time to time. I hope you will stop by and check them out and feel free to leave me some feedback.

Hi Laurie, nice to visit your blog again! I love this pic, this is a normal scene of living... You've just to take a bus and asking for a litte space that someone attack you! Ahah!
I love the previous pic too, very tender...
Very nice. I enjoy birds however I know nothing about them. This is cool!
Must have been close to the Redwing's nesting area. Little birds will try to scare off anything at that time of year including eagles and hawks.
I've always heard the 2x teleconverter was not very good. This looks great!
I would definitely try to chase away a trespasser from my home. Blackbirds can be a real pest. Geese are such deceptively large animals.
What a funny scene. It looks like the black bird doesn't know how to stop and it trying to avoid the goose.
Love the flare of movement in this one, and yes, these birds are very territorial!
Astonishing how the blackbird looks to the goose. This is relly a fancy snapshot where the blurring wings emphasize the motion nicely.
very nice composition!
What a terrific capture! Those redwings are so beautiful.
Nice action shot!
Wow! Awesome capture. Well I have been wanting the 100-400mm Cannon for my next lens but now after reading your text on the previous post and seeing how well this shot looks I might have to do a little research myself. Thanks for the info.
Great shot, I often see little birds going after the big guys, even in the air, fascinating creatures:)
very well seen, captured and composed.
Wow what great timing! Love the colors in the blackbird!
Wonderful action shot :) The blackbird does seem to be watching very carefully! Excellent detail!
wow.. he sure looks brave despite his size.. :D great capture here! :)
Nice action shot! I like the bits of red in the photo.
you've really caught the tension/emotion here
excellent catch - wonderful action.
You must sat there for ever to get the sot!!!!!
Perfect timing! Love this shot.
Haha, the little one looks so annoying. Great shot.
The best I've seen today!
