Memorial Bench

previous / next

This bench is at a park located in believe it or not a town called National Park NJ. It is directly across the Delaware River from the Philadelphia International Airport. It was a gorgeous Friday afternoon in April when I shot this one. The flowers on the bench are silk, and there is a small memorial plaque dedicating the bench to someone's lost loved one.

Really nice! I love how the shadow just seems to hang there on it's own.

This is timeless and also a little sad. Although the sun lights this scene gorgeously!

Nice shot Laurie, I love the blurry background and the vignetting pulls off a nice effect.

This is a nice shot.
There is a story in the picture about lonlyness. It fits well to the words on the memorial plaque.

I cant help recalling W.C.Fields' wishes for his grave marker: "I would rather be in Philadelphia"

..beautiful images of Hyewon Kim..

@TP...Thanks...Benches are a favorite subject of mine. I post them quite often and have quite a few stored in my archives. Broken ones, pristine ones, old ones, new ones, wooden ones, metal ones...with people, without people...all sorts taken in all sorts of weather.

Laurie always so close of neatness your photo, seen the angle one to believe to see the bench in weightlessness.
