NJIO 15th Anniversary Concert VII
previous / nextBack to the Series from the NJIO 15th Anniversary Concert. This is André Emelianoff who is Hyewon Kim's teacher at Julliard School of Music Pre-College Division. Hyewon was featured earlier in this series. They were invited to play with the NJIO as soloists and as a Duet. It was a wonderful experience. I shot this during the pre-concert warm up.

Check out my new slideshow page. The link is here and at the top and bottom of every page. I am testing out several formats for the slideshows each with their own advantages and disadvantages. It will be an evolving process and I will add new ones from time to time. I hope you will stop by and check them out and feel free to leave me some feedback.

Great shot! His music obviously transports him to another place and you have captured it perfectly!
This is again a wonderful study of a musician. I like the series about this orchestra very much. Great shot.
A fine performance (or pre performance) shot. His expression is very interesting. A nice shot.
i can tell he's an artist by the shirt he's wearing. ;D
*pretty slick slideshows.. now i regret not going in the eastern state penitentiary.. it does look pretty cool! :D
like his expression, it seems he is full of energy ...
Laurie, you have captured pure passion in this portrait.
A work of art.
fantastic expression!
Now THAT'S a shirt! :) Love that look on his face you caught at just the right moment!
Toute l'intensité de l'émotion, la vibration profonde, intime de la musique est là, dans cette photo...et l'on vibre avec elle...
What an expression. Well captured.
On the slide shows, though I like the autoviewer more, it seems a bit jarry. But that could be entirely because of my computer.
Great job getting his face and expression in focus. The composition is great too.
You captured his intimacy with his music and his love of wild shirts.
