beautiful capture
Here in germany they are to shy. I have tried so many times to capture one, but they fly away.
absolutely gorgeous. Can't you do something about these burned out spots at the bottom. They are a bit of distracting.
he looks so majestic.. :) beautiful capture.. :)
@TP...nope...couldn't bring back any detail there. This was shot in midday sun deep in a gorge. The combination of extreme bright sun and extreme deep shadow in the gorge made for some very tricky exposures. Burning it just looked weird worse than what is there. Crop was not an option.
I think it is a magnificent shot.
-And didn't notice the burnout until I read the comment.
Your images do inspire me.
@Carsten...Thanks. I knew there would be lost highlights when I took the shot but decided the trade off was worth it and didn't find them too objectionable. I was just pleased that this creature co-operated enough for me to get a couple of decent shots. The previous one was by far my favorite, but I thought this one was not too bad.
Nice Heron portrait Laurie. I love the added bug high lights too.
Precioso ejemplar, muy bien captado por tu camara.
Buen trabajo.
enhorabuena.
Great capture Laurie!
Amazing capture!
Those birds are nice but I don;t like them because they always try to eat the fish in my pond. A shot well done tho.
