Last Call

previous / next (10-14-09)

Fall is here for sure. As I write this post Sunday night the weatherman is calling for frost and freeze warnings during the night. The flowers that were still blooming will likely be done for the season. I think I will have to fire up the heat for the first time this season.

Rob left for his 12 month deployment to Iraq over the weekend. The countdown has begun.

Fine image of fall, makes me smell that cold fresh air with traces of rotting, and hear the rustle of dry leaves still hanging on the bushes.

I keep my fingers crossed for Rob returning safe and sound from Iraq.

Fall is here for sure. I was counting snowflakes on Saturday. Not happily. Fine photo of the end of a season.

Fall was short lived here. We now have snow. But thanks for this lovely scene to remind us northern folk of it once was.

Be safe!

Nice simple and rustic scene here Laurie. Heat is on but I'm loving fall while dreading winter.

Love all the minute detail in this picture Laurie. Yes I think the seasons are changing even here where we really don't get seasons. There is a prediction of our first storm of the season coming in tonight. It will be interesting to see how accurate the weather people really are.

What a fine image this is with that beautiful light, textures and composition. Down here in the south, of course, we're heading the other way -- except you wouldn't know it from the sudden bad weather we're having at the moment.

Thanks for your visit to my new photoblog.

The same applies for Germany. Last Wednesday we had 25 degrees Celsius at noon and today we had our first frost.
This is beautiful capture with great DOF and details.
