Home for the Holidays-Getting Festive
previous / next (12-2-09)One of our family traditions this time of year is to start decorating for Christmas on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We pass up the "Black Friday" shopping madness to drag out all the Christmas decorations and I set to work transforming our home into a very festive and colorful home for the holidays. I am usually all finished by nightfall.
These are some Christmassy colored silk flowers that I placed next to the fireplace in our great room (family room/dining room/kitchen combo). We spend almost all of our time in this wonderful room. Unfortunately I cannot have real flowers because of Missy who, no matter what, will try to make a meal of real flowers. These are pretty nice silks that I picked up last week. I hope you like this small taste of some of my efforts to make the house festive for Christmas. There may be more to come over the next few weeks.
