Upside Down Backwards

previous / next (11-6-09)

...and all topsy turvy. I shot this on the Canal tow path in New Hope.

Nikon D700
Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8
1/500 second
F/7.1
ISO 200
40 mm

My heart goes out to the soldiers and families in Fort Hood for the horrible tragic events that occurred on Thursday afternoon. I am shocked and saddened as the details of this story continue to unfold. To all the victims and their families and the entire Fort Hood community, my prayers are with you.

Well taken, I like the muted autumn colours and also the way you've cropped the picture to keep some of the canal bank in the scene.

It's interesting, isn't it, that if you turn a reflection up the right way it often looks peculiar.

Lovely muted colors int this, a reflection, we see what isn't. Thinking of all affected by military responsibilities. All are appreciated.

Great shot here! I'm sure all of the loved ones and those at Fort Hood feel all topsy turvy right now. It's hard to understand why something like this happens.

Convincing image. I like the toning that matches very well the autumn mood.

Hi Laurie, It would be relly cool if we took the photos the same day but I just checked and I took mine on Oct 17th. It's still amazing that we posted them on the same day.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photography.

p.s.
