Mourning Dove
previous / next (5-12-11)There have been a pair of Mourning Doves living in my yard for several years now. I find their gentle cooing to be quite soothing. I am not a birder so I have no idea if this is the male or female.

no idea as well, but i often mistake their calls for owls.. :D great, crisp capture though.. :)
