Girl in Poppy Field
previous / next (6-13-12)This past weekend they opened the Duke Farms in Hillsborough, N.J. to the public. What a treat! Only a very small part of the property had been accessible to the public up until Saturday when it opened the majority of the property to the public after a major renovation.
The park has so much to offer with some 18 miles of easy walking, biking and roller-blading trails as well as tram tours and the best part is that it is completely FREE! There are even tram stops all along the trails if you grow tired of walking at any point along your way. It is open every day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM except Wednesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. I will be going back very soon to really explore the gorgeous property and all it has to offer.
I shot this at the beginning of my brief walk in the park. As I drove in I was greeted by beautiful poppy fields. This was shot just outside of the newly renovated visitor's center.
